Third graders visit artist’s residence

During their art class this week, third grade students took a trip to visit the home of painter and sculptor, Mr. Yves Bosquet. Mr. Bosquet took the students through his beautiful home that blooms with his own personal work as well as work by his wife, who is also an artist. His sculptures, such as birds, human portraits or dinosaurs can be seen  around the school as well as in the streets (and homes) of Brussels. As we made our way to Mr. Bosquet’s studio, where he spends his days creating artworks, the students were given the opportunity to interview Mr. Bosquet and ask him questions about his work and life as an artist. Our visit tied in with the Unit of Inquiry “Speaking from the heART” which focuses on various art expressions. Enjoy the video of our trip:
