Pre-Kindergarten studies architecture in Brussels

As our inquiry ‘Ar-kid-tecture’ is well underway, the children in Pre-Kindergarten went on a field trip into Bruxelles to look at the many styles of design, decoration, materials we can see on the houses around ‘The Fondation pour l’Architecture in Ixelles’.  We had the help of Charlie and Margaret, two puppets who had lots of information to share about the houses we searched for on the street. We even found a house that the children think ‘Lucky the Lion’ may live in!

The children also had an opportunity to decorate their own houses in the museum to take back to school.  A fun, exciting day for the youngest children in St. John’s.
